ShortUrl

A quieter way to share a link.

ShortUrl creates a short URL that only works once. The first person to open it is redirected to your destination. Every visitor after that sees an ember, an apology, and nothing else.

How it works

You paste a destination. We generate a slug, store it, and hand you a short link plus a QR code. When someone opens the link, our server atomically marks it consumed before redirecting — so a second visit finds only ash.

Privacy stance

No accounts. No tracking cookies. The destination URL is never rendered into the page HTML, meta tags, or OpenGraph previews of the short link — link unfurlers see a generic page, not your secret.

When to use it

Sharing a document, a temporary credential, a private meeting URL, or anything that shouldn't live in a group chat forever. It's not encryption — it's controlled exposure.
